4 years without an answer from Mr. Papandreou 03/08/2004 P.A.K Panellenic Liberation Movement L.A.O.S Peoples Liberation Organized Army
Dear comrade George Papandreou, In 1972 my wife Andrea and I sold our house in New York City to use the money ($60,000) to organize my underground activities against the Greek dictatorship. Under the code name Apostolis - Apostle in 1973 I organized the most dynamic resistance cell of P.A.K L.A.O.S in Greece. As an answer to the incident of Polytechnic school we planned and executed the strongest hit in the 7 years against the Junta - Lavrio 22-2-74. Our group was subsequently betrayed but we were prepared and we escaped abroad with the help of my wife and Akis Tsohatzopoulos, taking with us the traitor from our on group, George Zigogiannis. In March 1974, we called for a meeting of all representatives of PAK in Basel Switzerland. We presented all documented proof of the treason and the names of the people responsible. The accusation was that there was a conspiracy to turn in the honest dynamic freedom fighters before they did any damage to the dictatorship for 2 reasons: 1) To generate positive publicity for PAK through the creation of martyrs so they can collect money on the name of the "revolution". 2) In order for the leaders of the movement to stay away from any danger from the Junta and local authorities. The goal of the above two actions were aimed at securing PAK’s victory in the free elections after the fall of the Junta – with absolutely no intent of acknowledging the work of the real freedom-fighters who secured liberty for Greece. The political leaders of PAK had no intention of sharing the fruits of sacrifice with the active revolutionaries in the movement.
These significant facts followed:
1) The representatives of the movement never did anything about the treason. We had informed them that we were in immediate need of assistance in Germany but instead of help they ignored us and isolated us. We survived with the help of the Bexis family and Dimitris Kolovos. 2) Giannis Tsekouras, one of the accused (also one of the leading men in the movement and Andreas Papandreou’s Yes Man) for our betrayal asked us to surrender our guns one week before we were asked to go to Sweden. We did not surrender anything. 3) Significant people of PAK who took our side were blacklisted. After the fall of the Junta, these same people were isolated, given small jobs and no room for economic mobility. 4) From Andreas' Papandreou’s office in Toronto Canada (Angela, his secretary) we were asked of how much we wanted to forget everything. We answered that our fight belongs to the Greek people and it’s not for sale. 5) With orders of Andreas Papandreou we were driven to Sweden by Dimitri Kolovos. Upon arriving to Sweden, the plan for our assassination was aborted once we (I and Manos Gritzalis) revealed the conspiracy to Adonis Diamadopoulos. 30 years later he signed a confession to us about the orders for our execution and that they came from Andreas Papandreou. 6) Vorios took our side and he was isolated and alienated till the day he died in 2003 7) Kostas Tsimas, responsible for North America, pretended he came to our side so he could keep us in the dark and isolate us and Andreas Papandreou rewarded him later and made him the head of Intelligence Service, the Greek CIA. 8) The people responsible for our betrayal were awarded government jobs when PASOK became the Goverment; Tsekouras was supported by Andreas Papandreou and became a Senator and Zigoginnis director of a government agency. 9) Many of the leading group of PASOK took our achievements as their own-including your friend Tsouras.. 10) Systematically our history and achievements were silenced along with the matter of treason to the Greek underground.
In 1976 my wife and I returned to Greece to have our children in Athens. They put so many roadblocks in my way that I was forced to go back to the US in 1979 with my one year old daughter and a one month old son. The expulsion of the Junta was never done and this is the main reason that I raised my children in the US. Since then I had come to Greece repeatedly to bring about the vindication of our group. Always economic reasons forced me to return to the US. In December of 2003 I took a second mortgage on our house in New Jersey and came back with a one way ticket to finally conclude our fight and vindicate my group or force the old political leaders of PAK to renew the order of my assassination. For these reasons I planed an art show, "The Greek Spirit and Freedom". It was done in honour and for the vindication of my group of freedom fighters. The Prime Minister and all ministers and senators of PASOK were invited but all of them ignored us with the exception of Aki Tsohatzopoulos and Kimon Koulouris. The Ministry of Progress and Organization of Tourism were the sponsors of the show at the old airport Ellinikon in Athens 4-2-04 to 22-2-0. The problems I had in 1976 are the same ones I am facing again. From the second day of the show I was left without lights and heat, many visitors were deterred, including a TV crew, from coming to the show. Greece has embraced every victorious athlete but has never shown the same sensitivity for its true heroes, the freedom fighters who were tortured, killed, and who gave up their youth to free Greece. When every one was involved with their lives and studies 37 years ago our choice was to fight for freedom. And we were victorious. Our lives changed forever and we all live with nightmares that make our lives difficult. Every day that Greece refuses to acknowledge us it becomes more difficult to go on. It’s an unbearable pain to be betrayed by your own. The Junta’s bullets would have been easier. Out of sensitivity we waited until after the elections for the announcement of our truth. Time has given us a lot for our vindication like the TV show of Mr. Triadafilopoulou with the heroes tortured by the Junta and a PASOK senator who was running for re-election with the PASOK leaving them out to dry. This must have hurt them more then the Junta. Dear George Papandreou, I am asking for immediate contact with you with the hope that in the spirit of change you proclaim as the new leader of PASOK and as Akis said last night on TV “PASOK will return to its roots because anyone who does not honour their roots has no future.” This will bring an end to the injustice and isolation of 30 years and it will help with the ethical and economic restoration of the group Apostolis led. I believe that this will also inspire the youth to give a little as we did to bring about a better era for all. The names of the group I will tell you in person. Sincerely Gregory Christeas - Apostolis Enclosed; Historical documents, letter of the Northman with his confession about the order of our murder and some press clippings from the show.

We hand deliver this letter to George Papandreou making him aware of our story and gave it to his office guard, on March 8 2004, the day after the elections that he lost. Two days later, on the 10th, We met with the General Secretary Chrisohoidis and we had him read the letter in our presence so he could not say later he lost it and knew nothing about it. After he read it he acted like he was moved that such a terrible thing like that could go on for so long. He said he would meet with George Papandreou the next day and get back to me. That was on March 10 - a Wednesday. I saw him in the TV news visiting the island of Crete over the weekend with Giorgos Papandreou. They definitely had enough time to talk about my letter. Monday March 15, five days later, I called him and spoke to his secretary and asked for an answer which was overdue. We are still waiting for a phone call, this letter was never answered and the fact that George Papandreou and Chrisohoidis have not called me since March 8 2004 speaks volumes. ********
